Snitch grinned, "The train yard. I dunno how far we are from it though. I just remember being in Mr. Blue Coat's truck for quite a while before being dropped off on the road." He replied.

Mari stopped, "Oh my goodness, you're really far from home. Who is Mr. Blue Coat? Is he a friend of yours?" Amaranth grinned wide and jumped up, "He comes from the Faraway-Place, like you did. I can smell it on him! Does that mean we can go now? Please?"

"He's the man in the blue coat who is always taking care of me." Snitch answered, wondering how someone can smell a faraway place by just being around someone else.

"I see. Well," Mari sighed, "if the rain has let up by morning, I'll take you to the nearest town. I need to be adjusted anyway," She stiffly flexed her right hand, then turned to the over excited redhead who was mumbling something about people and a new place, "But, Ama, you can't come."
Amaranth stopped, "Whaat? Why not!" "Because you'd have to wear shoes." Mari laughed. "I will! I will!" Ama jumped up and down.
"Well, we'll see come morning. Why don't you run off and play with Oka and Yuu for tonight? I heard them out earlier." Mari untangled Ama's curls with her human fingers. "Okay." Ama slurped down the rest of her soup and rushed out the makeshift door, into the pouring rain.

Snitch watched her leave quietly, still wondering what many of the new things were in the new place he stumbled upon. He looked around the home as well, trying to remember if anything was also in the places he's been in the train yard.

"Snitch," Mari said softly, "Is there anyone who maybe doesn't like you?"

Snitch thought for a moment, "hmmmm... Oh yeah! There was a man in a suit who came to the train yard once. I accidentally tripped him a couple times and he didn't seem to like me anyways." He said, shrugging. "Other than that I don't know any others who might not like me."

"Hmm... Well, I don't know. But be prepared for the worst." Mari said, handing him a blanket, probably out of habit. She then curled up on the bed Ama had been playing on earlier. "Oh, don't be alarmed when she comes in, okay?"

Snitch nodded, finding a comfortable niche to curl up in with the blanket.
Unheard, a tall dull-white figure made its way down from the ceiling it had been tucked away in, a wide sharp-toothed grin plastered to his face as he now knew where the robot the one who had hired him wanted, and assuredly the female would suffice him as well, being half robot, half human.

Dark storm clouds parted, and a full silver moon shone down on Amaranth and her wolf companions as they romped and played. The pale light illuminated her red hair like it was a burning fire on top of her head. Suddenly, she stopped, sensing that something innocent in her woods was in danger.
Without thinking, she flew back to her hollow tree and began to sing, her magic flowing deeply in every note. All stopped to listen; even the heavens stopped their turning to hear the wordless melody cascading from her lips.
