The creature stopped, his four ears perking at the sound of a melody being sung, wordless, but beautiful all at the same time. Grin still plastered on his face as he searched for the music that almost made his stomach churn with it's innocence and beauty. He wanted it to cease, but continue all at the same time, which made him even angrier to try to make up his mind.

The thing crawled out of her home, a sharp toothed grin on its face. This was something the likes Amaranth had never seen, even in all her years. She changed her song to one of melancholy and pain, directing it at the thing specifically. She watched the expression in its eyes change, but it grinned none the less.
She watched it begin to tremble. She stopped her song, "Leave this wood, Creature. Thy ill-intent isn't welcome here. Leave now, for thou knowest not with whom ye deal."

The creature felt all it's horrible experiences coming back, the labs, the cruel regime and the horrible scientists, watching as the world deteriorated around him time and time again..... the pain he embraced, but detested, loved but despised. He looked at the girl before him, causing the pain to reveal itself once more, obviously showing in his eyes along with the spite and hatred for mankind, shaking his very form as if it'd be crushed, but the wing-like arms on it's back refused to let him falter. "I refuse to allow myself to leave so easily." He growled, rage and malice filling his words as he spat them like bullets, an ominous aftertone of a dormant power ghosting his growls.

"So be it."
Amaranth reached to the now cloudless skies, barely visible through the trees. Moonlight poured itself on her through the leaves, so heavily, it looked like a cascade of sparlking water had suddenly fallen from the heavens. She began to rise up into the air, and the moonbeams solidified in her waiting hands in the form of a shining blade. Huge, black, bird-like wings burst from her back, her hair turning to fire, and her eyes glowed like a wolf's in the darkness.
She brandished her blade at the thing that had invaded her forest, "Cearture of ill-intent, ye shall not cause destruction here!" She dove, wings gliding flawlessly and rapidly, at the monster.

The creature's eyes twitched slightly at the transformation, ears folding back as she came at him, the back-claws reaching up at the last second to block the impeding attack. His grin began to fade, just waiting for the right time to unleash his own hidden power, growling and snarling and anticipating bloodshed.

Mari head her battle cry. It had jolted her from a dream of mutants and her memories of the accident. Jumping up and tying her hair back with the human hand, she flexed and turned her other arm. If it wasn't so badly in need of adjustments, it would have morphed into her cannon faster.
Usually, she would've let Amaranth handle whatever intruder might be harming anything, but this time, something felt wrong. "Snitch," Mari whispered, "whatever happens, stay inside."

Snitch nodded quietly, still a small bundle in his corner, eyes glowing faintly through the darkness.
The creature howled, a little more distorted than a usual wolf or dog, mixed with feline and other strange accents of creatures, demonic rumble dancing along with the howl. He felt the black blood of his back-claws course into his, creating inky lines throughout his body where it flowed through his veins, his face now with a giant black explosion, eyes no longer black and red, but white, as if he had rolled his eyes back and they had stuck.

Amaranth landed a distance off, folding her wings against her body, waiting to see what would happen. her sword had not done anything to those claws. She ruffled her feathers, anticipating an attack. Mari snuck out the back and had climbed a tree, aiming something strange at the beast.

The creature felt as his head sprouted horns similar to a rams, jagged horns with different ways to curve sprouted down his head almost to his jawline, two sprouting below each of his ears. He whipped his head towards Mari, almost the speed to snap his own neck, aware of her presence, "Give it your best shot!" He sneered, voice dripping with the demonic essence, teeth gleaming as he grinned ferociously, showing his rows of sharp teeth which had grown a little larger, making his mouth bleed his black blood.

Mari fired at the thing's request. A burst of lightening shot it in the face and bounced off the wicked horns.
