The creature felt some of the electricity flow from his horn into his skull, screeching loudly and snapping his head a random direction until the shock was over, beginning to speed towards her.

Amaranth cut it off, forcing her weight against her sword, using it as a block between Mari and the thing. It collided with the moon-sword, making a thunk sound similar to hitting a tree. Amaranth twisted the blade around, pusing the back of the blade into the monster. She wasn't trying to kill it, she wanted it to leave. "Mari!" Ama shouted, "Get out of the woods! Take the guest and leave!" She flapped her wings, giving her more force, pushing the thing away. It landed on it's back, then jumped up again. "I'm not leaving you Ama. I mean it." Mari charged up for another blast.

The creature shrieked, growling and laughing hysterically. It's black blood flowed from his wound as it clawed at the girl attacking him, back-claws thrashing at the ground and darted up, grabbing her and throwing her off him with great force, as if she was just a twig.

Amaranth flew far then landed on her back, wings crunching as they landed at odd angles beneath her. Her sword luckily landed in the dirt at a safe distance from her, instead in her like she thought it was going to. Mari sent another blast at the creatures back while it moved towards Amaranth. Her hair was no longer fire, meaning that soon, amaranth would no longer be able to fight.

The creature shot his head in the direction of the charge, rage building as he began to advance towards her. He grabbed her inhuman arm, threatening to crush it in his grip.

Mari flipped, kicking the thing away with her robotic foot. "Ama, we leave now!" Weakly standing, Amaranth nodded and began to sing again.
A song of retreat, but not of defeat, to safety we flee, but only momentarily.
Amaranth hit the thing with the broad side of the moonsword, sending it crashing into her tree. She reached Mari and Snitch with her magic and pulled them throught the distance to the otherside of her forest where a large crystal jutted up from the ground in the middle of a clearing, glowing faintly in the moonlight.

Snitch looked around, confused at where they were now. He was also confused by what they were fighting, it couldn't been human.
The creature felt his power receding as he realized he couldn't fight anymore, and he was bleeding. His blood returned to it's normal color as his horns sunk back into his head, the coppery scent of his blood filled his nostrils. His eyes became his normal black with red irises, looking like they were deteriorating very slowly into the black abyss of the rest of his eye. He staggered into the tree-home, hoping his target was still nestled in the far corner. Finding nothing, he slammed his fist into the wall, realizing his head was spinning from the blow. He searched the home for some sort of bandage to stop the bleeding and the delicious scent from driving him mad.

Amarant stumbled, grabbing hold of the white crystal. The glow intesified and enveolped her. Her wings cracked and popped audibly as they straightened out and healed. The minor scratches and cuts faded away to nothing, blending flawlessly with the normal light peach of her skin. Mari looked around to gain her bearings, "The road to Desmon, is just over there, but this means that it's going to be three days of walk to the nearest town with a rail station of any sort, instead of a couple hours."
"Sorry." Amaranth said weakly. Mari stroked her hair, "No, it's alright, sweetheart. You needed that crystal." Amaranth lifter her head, "Mari? Do you know what that was? I think I was a person once. Is that the kind of things those people you ran away from do?" Mari nodded slowly, still stroking the innocent nymph's hair.

Snitch listened quietly, trying to figure out what they could be talking about without interrupting them.
The creature grinned as he found a bandage in the home. He patched himself up, trying to shake off the memories of his childhood and how he had been tricked into being a being of war, all those days willingly learning to shred a grown man to nothing but a pile of what they once were. No, more of a fleshy, crunchy, delectable puddle. The thought of a fresh kill lingered in his thoughts, nearly making him salivate with the ghostly touch of a bloody chunk of raw flesh upon his tongue.
